| | On my way home Friday afternoon, I had worked myself up into a really bad mood. I decided since Nathan and I didn't have immediate plans, to take a nap. So I went up stairs and turned the fan on next to the bed. I needed both the air to be moving and the noise distraction. I stripped my shirt off leaving me in just a wife beater and jeans as I had ditched the shoes when I walked in the door. My head hit the pillow, and my subconscious quickly took over. My dream took me back more then a few years. Although I don't remember it all I do recall a neighbor feeding me magic mushrooms she had hidden in some cake. My eyes sight became that of looking through liquid. Everything became different shades of rainbow colors. My auditory senses slowed to picking up sounds, hell everything seemed to slow down. I was suddenly aware of her (the neighbor's) hand sliding down the front of my jeans. She was after more then just getting my high without my awareness. It was then that Nathan brought me back into reality, waking me up with a gentle nudge. My nephew and a friend were in the living room. Wheew... that was close. In my dream I was having little success in fighting her off in the state I was in. So when I actually got to sleep Friday night I was swept into a very emotionally charged dream. Gut wrenching sobs left me exhausted when I woke. I went the makeshift desk I have in our bedroom and wrote the following: Money talks Dollars scream Pennies cry What in the world? I have no clue, but what I do recall of the dream has become a future story line.
"Nathan and Cara at the office picnic" Sorry, I just liked this picture. Saturday Nathan and I took off to his home town to visit friends he went to high school with. Some of them he hadn't seen in about over fifteen years. We spent the night in his home town and then visited with his parents for Fathers Day. All in all it was a very pleasant couple of days. It's a little late, and the morning will creep up on me quickly so I'm heading to bed. Hopefully to rest.
I hope the week starts out well for you all. Peace..... |
